They say you can take the boy away from the farm but you can't take the farm away from the boy. My farm boyhood and background has left me with a very deep love for the land.  For over 50 years we have always had apple trees on a small scale. 

So when we retired, I followed my passion for apple trees.  Sharon Orchards was established in 2011. We started planting dwarf trees and we continue to plant new trees every year.

To see fruit growing and ripening and then being able to provide apples with minimal spray to families in the area brings great satisfaction.

Each autumn, my wife Cathy sells our Heirloom Macintosh, disease resistant apples and organic vegetables in our farm market.  We meet the nicest people and the positive comments about the taste, texture and freshness inspire us to keep going and growing. 

Don't forget, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. So delicious and nutritious.
